Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Women's Institute of Technology(Formerly known as Women's Institute of Technology(WIT), Darbhanga was established in the year 2004. And it was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Women’s Institute of Technology is an Engineering College exclusively for girls offering degree level courses in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science & Engineering (CS) and Post graduate course in Computer Application (MCA). Exact address of this institute is Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Women’s Institute of Technology, Formerly known as Women’s Institute of Technology, Old Navoday Campus, Kameswaranagar, Darbhanga-846008. it is affiliated with Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga approved by AICTE New Delhi and the government of Bihar. It is spread over 25 acres of land in the town of Darbhanga.

WIT Admission - Interested girl students looking to get admission in WIT will have to apply for Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. Every year they publish WIT CAT exam by cracking it only girl students can get admission in this institute.
It is said that, “If one educates a man an individual is educated. If one educates a woman, the whole family is educated”.
