History of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, Darbhanga - Maharajadhiraj Sir Kameshwar Singh Goutam Bahadur Maharaja of Darbhanga donated his ancestral Anand Bagh Palace(also known as Laxmishwar Vilas Palace) to the government of Bihar as a university for the promotion of Sanskrit. Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, Darbhanga was established on 26th January 1961 under The Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit Vishvavidyalay Act, 1960 (Bihar Act VI of 1960). At present this university run under Bihar State Universities Act, 1976 (Bihar Act XXIII of 1976).
Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, Darbhanga Courses - Many Under Graduate(UG), Post Graduate(PG) and Research (Ph D and D Lit) courses are offered by KSDSU University Darbhanga. Upshastri, Shastri, Samnya, Music, Veda, Painting, Jyotish, Sahitya, Acharya, Mithila Lok Kala and many more courses and degrees are available in this University.
