Government Must Take Action to Address Air Pollution in Darbhanga

What is Air Pollution?
When dangerous or excessive amounts of pollutants from human activities like manufacturing, transportation, and agriculture are found in the Earth's atmosphere, it is referred to as air pollution. The ecosystem, plants, animals, and human health can all be negatively impacted by air pollution.
There are several kinds of air contaminants, such as-
Particulate matter (PM): Tiny airborne particles that can be inhaled all the way to the lungs' deepest levels. PM has been linked to a number of health issues, including as cancer, heart disease, and respiratory infections.
Nitrogen oxides (NOx): Gases that can cause acid rain and smog. NOx can aggravate asthma and irritate the lungs.
Sulphur dioxide (SO2): A gas that can cause respiratory issues and contribute to the formation of acid rain. Gas called carbon monoxide (CO) has the ability to lessen the amount of oxygen that reaches tissues within the body. In high amounts, CO can be lethal and produce headaches, nausea, and dizziness.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs): A class of chemicals that may be found in solvents, industries, and automobiles among other places. VOCs can aggravate asthma and irritate the eyes, nose, and throat.
